Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, WV intends to award a purchase order to The C.I. Thornburg Company, Inc of Bridgeport, WV for compact low flow water meters and flange kits to replace existing facility equipment that is not accurately recording usage. NCTC's facillity operations staff have determined that the best fit for the replacement is the Sensus Omni C2 meter in 3 sizes (1.5 in, 2.0 in, and 3.0 in) which offers uniformity, low flow measuring down to 1/2 gallon per minute, and an internal strainer which provides a compact footprint, which is essential to installation at some of the locations on the NCTC campus. The proposed contract is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Imterested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses with this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
