Description

Yellowstone National Park is seeking input from vendors in regards to the purchase of a digital voice logging system. Our market research has determined that only one brand name product Red Box will meet our needs due to the following: Yellowstone is routinely recreating events that go back several years and it would greatly benefit the users of the new system to use one call retrieval system for incident recreation. This system will be able to look back at our current NICE recorder and retrieve calls from that system. Red Box incident retrieval software is currently the only vendor Yellowstone has found that can work with the NICE recorder. The current system uses an old database search engine that is not user friendly. The new system's search engine (Red Box) will look back at our old database and extract old data. We are trying to expand the user's that can access the database so that Communication Center and Law Enforcement personnel can use the new system and will not have to wait until a technician is available to retrieve the data. With the Red Box system, technicians/Communication Center/LE personnel will use one new, user friendly, database search engine to retrieve calls and help with the reconstruction of incidents on the new database and/or the old database with one retrieval system. Any vendors wishing to comment are encouraged to submit their comments in writing to Andrea_Hannon@nps.gov. If you are a vendor whose product can interface with the NICE system please email in supporting information and Yellowstone National Park will review your product before a combined synopsis/solicitation is issued.
