Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Nashua, NH, to perform analysis to describe performance of the APKWS II over the weapons allowable release envelope. It is anticipated that the resultant contract shall be on Firm-Fixed-Priced type basis for the procurement of the data. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for informative purposes (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of APKWS, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience, and tooling to produce the requirements described herein to satisfy the Government's requirement.
