- This is a Sources sought synopsis being conducted pursuant to FAR part 10, Market Research. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time. This is an initial step in the planning process to acquire needed items for Barksdale AFB. Barksdale requires the following BRAND NAME OR EQUAL items: 0001 3600 Lumen D Projector and Mounts Electronic Projection Screen w/120" display and audio speakers Interactive touch screen computer w/Fitness on Request class content OR EQUAL 0002 Installation of Fitness on Request OR EQUAL 0003 Five Year Content Package and Updates-classes are available 24 hours a day. The system displays a lifelike instructor in high definition video and studio grade audio. Classes are updated monthly for 60 months with the 5 years package. OR EQUAL 0004 Upgrades/Extras-Video package upgrade-upgrade projector and 135'' screen OR EQUAL The 2nd Contracting Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, seeks potential sources that can supply the items described. All businesses capable of providing this item are invited to respond with capability packages no later than 1 P.M. CST 17 April 2012. Businesses shall provide information sufficient enough to allow the Government to assess their capability to provide the required items. Any information provided as a result of this sources sought is voluntary and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. Interested offerors can submit their capabability package via email to kent.pendleton@us.af.mil. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 334119, Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing, which has a small business size standard of 1000 employees. This sources sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach.
