- This is a notice of intent that 638 SCMG/PKAC anticipates issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) to include a Basic Year plus Two Option Years, Firm Fixed Price Requirements Type Contract for the Repair of the Simulator Test Stand for NSN: 4920-01-022-0664RN; Part Number (P/N): 4384-0518. This repair acquisition will have a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 1-3 Each for the Basic Year; a BEQ of 1-3 Each for Option Year One; and a BEQ of 1-3 Each for Option Year Two. This Repair will include CAV AF CFM Statement of Work (SOW); Performance-Based Work Statement (PWS - Appendix B); Performance Based Work Statement (PWS (Appendix C); Packaging Requirements (Form 158) with Special Packaging Instructions (SPI); Transportation Form (1653); Job Skill/Wage Categories; Provisional Legacy System Component Template (Source of Repair Assignment Process); and Contract Data Requirement List (CDRLNumber A001). Recommended Sources are: The Pump Company (Cage Code: 67V88); and Atec, Inc. (Cage Code: 09552). However, this acquisition will be issued competetively for full and open competition. Delivery will be 45 Days After Receipt of Repairable Assets or After Receipt of Funder Order (whichever is later). The response date for the Solicitation will be issued approximately 1 May 2012 with a quote due date of approximately 31 May 2012. The RFQ will be issued using electronic procedures which will be posted at the following website: www.fedbizopps.gov. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED and no hard copies will be mailed out. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation shall be considered. OMBUDSMAN: All potential offeror(s) should contact the Buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the Contracting Officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. When appropriate, potential offerors may contact Ombudsman Ms. Kim McDonald at 478-222-1088.
