- Estimated issue date April 30, 2012 and estimated closing/response date May 30, 2012 PR#: FD2030-12-70911 RFP#: SPRTA1-12-Q-0256 Nomenclature/Noun: RATE GYROSCOPE used on the F-16 Aircraft, NSN 6615-00-707-6478. AMC: 1T History: Awarded under contract F34601-84-C-2632 to BAE Systems Inertial Products for 3 each on August 29, 1984. The estimated unit price is $8,742.57. L/I 0001 - The quantity is 11, L/I 0002- the quantity is 2. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 5.280 inches, Height 2.8280 inches, Width 2.8900 inches, Weight 2.0000 (LB). Item Function: The gyro transmitter used to provide electrical signal proportional to the rate of turn of the aircraft. Measures the speed to which the aircraft is changing its course. Material: Non corrosive alloy, electrical spin motor, gyro (copper) steel bearings. Currently Atlantic Inertial Systems Inc (Cage 63395) and Condor Pacific Industries (Cage 4LSH0) are the only known source that can satisfy the Government requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Currently Atlantic Inertial Systems Inc (Cage 63395) and Condor Pacific Industries (Cage 4LSH0. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process.
