- This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Army is looking for a source to fabricate, assemble, test and deliver a training system consisting of a ruggedized computing platform (mobile, one-man carry), video converter and associated cables. This system will serve as the Appended Trainer for the M153 Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS II) system. The Government intends to use NAICS Code 334111 (Electronic Computer Manufacturing) and is considering a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) single-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract having a five-year ordering period (three-year base with two one-year options). Qualifying parties are asked to submit responses and comments who are currently registered to do business under the 334111 NAICS in CCR, regarding the applicability of this NAICS for the CROWS AT requirement defined in the attached Statement of Work. Comments are also requested regarding the ID/IQ contract type under consideration. Please submit your comments, recommendations or questions for consideration to the POC listed below not later than 4:00PM, Thursday, 19 April 2012. Capability statements may be submitted but are not requested or required. It is not necessary to submit another capability statement, especially if you have already responded to an earlier RFI for this requirement. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not reimburse any contractor for any information or administrative costs incurred in the response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be assumed by the interested party. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP or other solicitation, if any is issued. This is a market survey, not a pre-solicitation notice. There is no formal solicitation available at this time. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. All product information and hardware samples shall be submitted at no cost or obligation to the government. The government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input received as a result of this market survey. Information Format: Submit comments, recommendations or questions for consideration via electronic mail (email). Please use Microsoft Office 97-2003 compatible (.doc) format. If you choose to submit a capability statement, please use Microsoft Office 97-2003 compatible (.xls,.doc or.ppt) or Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (.pdf) formats. Classified material will not be accepted.
