Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at the James H. Quillen, VA Medical Center, Sidney & Lamont St; Bldg. 205, Mountain Home, TN 37684 has a requirement for the following work in accordance with specifications and drawings: Construction Project 621-12-160, Renovate Patient Waiting Area Bldg. 205/77 is for all design build services to renovate approximately 3,130 square feet of existing space on the first floor of building 205 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. The Design Build contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for a complete construction project to demo the existing interior space and renovate existing into a complete stand alone secure area. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The construction range is between $100,000 and $250,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) CONTRACTORS PURSUANT TO 38 U.S.C. 8127(d). SDVOSB contractors must be verified and viewable in VETBIZ (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) prior to submission of proposal and prior to award of contract. For general construction contractors: at least 15% of all labor required to perform this contract must be from the SDVOSB contractor or as a combination of the prime SDVOSB contractor and their SDVOSB subcontractors. Contractors must be registered at the following websites www.ccr.gov; https://orca.bpn.gov; and https://vets100.dol.gov to be eligible for award. On-Line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) must reflect a small business certification for the NAICS code noted herein. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website (https://www.fbo.gov) on or about May 2, 2012 with offers due on or about June 1, 2012. A paper solicitation will not be issued; potential offerors must obtain solicitation, specifications, drawings, and amendments (if issued) from this website. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to the time set for receipt of proposals. A site visit date will be announced in the solicitation. Any questions must be submitted in writing and emailed to Dana Dixon at dana.dixon@va.gov. The deadline for requests for information is 10 calendar days prior to offer due date.
