Description

Replace Handrail and Install Awning - Contractor shall provide all tools, labor, equipment, parts and transportation necessary to replace Handrail and Awning at the Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha VA Medical Center located at 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE. Replace railing work includes demolition, steel pipe railing fabrication and erection, welding, concrete repair, and painting. Install Cantilevered Awning work includes general construction, metal awning fabrication and installation, concrete repair, and electrical work to relocate existing lighting to accommodate new installation. All work shall be performed in accordance with project Scope of Work, specifications, drawings and all applicable VA and local codes and standards. Solicitation Number VA263-12-Q-0476 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about April 19, 2012. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit will not be held (See solicitation when available for Point of Contact information to arrange a site visit). Quotes are tentatively scheduled to be due May 10, 2012 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Period of Performance is expected to be 60 calendar days from the receipt of award. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.
