Description

The Medical Administration Service (MAS), Department of Veterans Affairs, South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVCHS) has a requirement for special mode transportation services within various counties within the state of Texas for eligible beneficiaries. The Contractor is required to furnish all emergency medical service equipment, supplies, medical devices, parenteral solutions, pharmaceuticals, vehicles, personnel, supervision, and administrative support to supply Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital, located at 7400 Merton Minter, San Antonio, TX 78229 and Kerrville Memorial Veterans Hospital, located at 3600 Memorial Blvd, Kerrville, TX 78028 for scheduled special mode transportation needs. This requirement is for the provision of ambulance services and ground transportation for veteran beneficiaries as requested twenty-four (24) hours per day, three hundred sixty-five (365) days per year (366 days/leap year), including weekends, evening, nights, and all Federal holidays that are observed by this facility. Potential contractors will provide coverage in any or all areas of coverage listed and outside of the catchment area for Spinal Cord Injury patients of the greater Texas area as follows: Atascosa, Bandera, Bee, Bexar, Calhoun, Comal, Crockett, De Witt, Edwards, Frio, Gillespie, Goliad, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Jackson, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Lavaca, Live Oak, Llano, Mason, McMullen, Medina, Menard, Real, Schleicher, Sutton, Terrell, Uvalde, Val Verde, Victoria, and Wilson. The anticipated base period of performance for these services is June 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012, and four (4), one-year optional renewal periods. The intent is a fixed price 100% Small Business Set-aside, competitive, multiple award procurement. The applicable NAICS code is 621910 and the small business size standard is $7.0 million.
