- Description
- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Standard and Poor's (S&P) to provide 9-character Committee on Uniform Securities Identification Procedures (CUSIP) numbers and standardized descriptions for more than 4 million active corporate, municipal and government issues in the Unites States and Canada, including equities and fixed-income securities. The Contractor shall also map the CUSIP numbers to the corresponding Central Index Key (CIK). CIK is used as the primary identifier in the SEC's Edgar system. Period of performance: May 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013 with four option years. This is a Notice of Intent, not a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. This notice is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. We believe the S&P to be the only known source that has the capability required by the SEC. Interested organizations may submit their capability statements and qualifications for this requirement in writing via email or facsimile, within 5 days of the date of the publication of this notice (April 20, 2012, 4:30 PM EST). Responses to this notice will be used to determine if competition exists and whether a request for quote is appropriate. No solicitation package is available and no additional information will be provided. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available, an order will be placed with the above named vendor. Potential vendors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration.Gov (CCR.Gov) to be eligible for award. Questions can be addressed to Naomi Robinson at (202) 551-8911 or via e-mail to robinsonna@sec.gov.
