- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the Replacement of the CARDOX Fire Suppression System located at The FAA Fire Test Building 211 at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center. This is an announcement for a site visit (date and time shown below) and a subsequent Request For Proposal (RFP) in the form of Screening Information Request (SIR) for the Replacement of the CARDOX Fire Suppression System in Test Cell #2, which is located at FAA Building 211 at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, New Jersey per the attached Draft Statement of Work (SOW). A statement of work (SOW) for this requirement is attached. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in attendance of the site visit or preparing responses to this announcement. Therefore, any costs associated with the site visit or response to the RFQ is solely at the interested vendor's expense. This procurement is being exclusively set-aside for small businesses who are actively registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) under NAICS Codes applicable to Cardox Fire Suppression Systems as a small business. This procurement has an anticipated dollar threshold range between $280,000 and $380,000. All potential vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry website (www.ccr.gov) for consideration of this award. A MANDATORY Site visit is Tuesday, May 15th, 2012 at 9:00 am (local time). The site visit is at the Federal Aviation Administration William J. Hughes Technical Center, located next to Atlantic City International Airport, Pomona, New Jersey. You will need to check in at security so please allow plenty of time for processing. Attendance of the site visit is mandatory. Vendor proposals received without attendance to the mandatory site visit will not be considered. All attendees must respond by email with your company's name, list of persons attending the mandatory site visit and contact information. Maximum number of attendees from any one company is three. The following documents must also be included; Copy of Government issued ID of each attendee, Business Declaration Form and capabilities statement. Please respond to: Joseph.Woodfield@faa.gov provide a capabilities statement that demonstrates experience in the area of paving in accordance with the attached draft SOW. Only vendors who attend the mandatory site visit and submit the necessary documents including a package in response to this announcement will be permitted to submit a proposal. In addition, only vendors who are able to provide the necessary wiring, equipment, tools and labor associated with installation of a CARDOX Fire Suppression System will be considered for award. Potential sources are cautioned that further public announcements may not be made and the SIR along with Facility Layout and SOW documents will only be released to the qualified vendors responding to this announcement by attending the mandatory site visit. Questions or comments on this procurement are welcomed. Please submit any questions in writing prior to May 24th, 2012, 2:00pm (local time) and they must be directed to Joseph Woodfield. The deadline for receiving submitted proposals will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 30th.
