- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS), Grand Canyon National Park (GCNP) requires two heavy duty, high pressure, horizontal split case, multi-stage, centrifugal pumps; two fabricated variable frequency drive (VFD) pump controllers that may be included as options; and, installation support. The pumps must be capable of pumping 650 gallons per minute against 3,475 feet total dynamic head to convey potable water from Indian Gardens (Elevation 3,770 ft) to the South Rim (Elevation 7,070 ft) and capable of 24 hour operation. Nominal operation is 8 hours per day. The pumps requiring replacement were installed in the 1960s; model DVMX, size 3X4X9, manufactured by Byron Jackson, and VFD by General Electric. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 333911. A solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov on or about 5-11-12. The solicitation will close on or about 5-31-12. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be provided. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor this website to download applicable documents and check for amendments. Award is anticipated on or about 7-5-12. Delivery will be free on board (FOB) destination at an estimated 300 days after award. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with NPS are requested to register at the National Business Center (NBC) at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. To receive any contract award, contractors must register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ and complete electronic annual representations and certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov.
