- Description
- The Indian Health Service (IHS) is soliciting proposals from interested psychiatric hospitals and facilities located in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah to provide all necessary medical emergency and urgent psychiatric inpatient/outpatient services to IHS Contract Health Services eligible patients referred by IHS Area Offices of Phoenix, Navajo and Tucson, Arizona; including Albuquerque, New Mexico. Such care shall include, but not be limited to outpatient, inpatient and all supporting services and facilities normally part of such care. Contract awards will be made to those psychiatric hospitals and facilities that agree to accept as payment in full, reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare allowable rates (including deductibles and co-payment). This is in accordance with the IHS Payment Policy entitled 'Reimbursement Rates for Health Care Services Authorized under the Indian Health Service Contract Regulations', published in the Federal Register on June 30, 1986. Multiple awards will be made for a twelve month period and shall include 4 one-year renewal option periods. RFP 12-247-SOL-00044 will be available on May 7, 2012 and may be obtained by 'written request' to the above address. Only 'written requests' will be honored. Proposals will be accepted and negotiations conducted through May 6, 2013.
