- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) to co-sponsor two 2012 workshops entitled: "In the Know" and "National Warm Mix Asphalt." NAPA is the only professional asphalt concrete pavement organization in the United States which represents the entire asphalt community industry. As such it is uniquely positioned to organize and conduct the workshops necessary to successfully promote hot mix asphalt. As the host for the workshops, NAPA is also the only source who can provide access to this event. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the total estimated value is not to exceed $75,000; the anticipated award date is May 11, 2012.
