Description

The National Park Service has a requirement for the Repair of the Historic Steel Lighthouse Lens Room Door. The Lighthouse is located 22 miles from our park headquarters in Point Reyes Station, California, Marin County.The work of the project includes, but is not limited to, metallizing coating or repaired door, metallizing sealer, epoxy coating, polyurethane coating, and door hardware. The project range is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. All work will be performed under a single, fixed price purchase order. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 332111 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. A site visit to the Point Reyes Lighthouse will be conducted on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. All prospective contractors are encouraged to participate in the site visit prior to preparing and submitting the quotation. Interested Offerors shall meet must be at Park Headquarters, Administrative Building at Point Reyes National Seashore, 1 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956 at 9:00 am. Please dress in layers as the weather may be cold, foggy, and windy. The duration of the site visit will be approximately two to three hours. Award selection will be based on a Best Value determination made after consideration of price and factors other than price (relevant experience, past performance) as outlined in the RFQ. The due date for receipt of quotations will be by close of business May 16, 2012. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website at http://www.fbo.gov for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ.
