Description
CORRECTION TO LETTER OF INTEREST DEADLINE Announcement of Opportunity SFB-013, Site Secondary Electrical Power Haleakalā, Maui, Hawai'i The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. (AURA), on behalf of the National Solar Observatory, is soliciting proposals (RFP) from contractors licensed in the State of Hawai‘i to provide all labor, equipment, and materials to energize secondary electrical power service and to facilitate rerouting communication and data service to existing University of Hawai‘i astronomical facilities within the boundaries of the Haleakalā High Altitude Observatory (HO) Site near the summit of Haleakalā, Maui, Hawai‘i in support of site preparation for the Advanced Technology Solar Telescope project. Copper and fiber communication cables are not included in this contract. A Site Familiarization "Job Walk" will be held at the Haleakalā project site on Friday, May 11, 2012. Details will be provided in the RFQ documentation. This effort is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (Public Law 111-5) and the requirements set forth at 2 CFR Part 176, "Award Terms for Assistance Agreements that include funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Public Law 111-5," shall be applied. Firms interested in receiving the RFP documentation for this procurement should send a one page letter of interest on firm letterhead and proof of Hawaiian licensure to the Contracts Officer, AURA-ATST Project by email (ATSTproposal@noao.edu) and must be received not later than Tuesday, May 8, 2012, 3:00 PM MST. The letter of interest should reference Announcement of Opportunity No. SFB013 and include physical mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and email address (if available) for a contact person. Upon receipt of a letter of interest, qualified firms will be provided access to the RFP documentation.
