- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) to develop two Web-Based Training (WBT) courses that will focus on provide details on: 1) how to use and construct a pavement stringless slipform paving technology, for the equipment's operators and crew members and 2) work zone construction safety training in and around slipform paving type equipment. The ACPA is the only entity recognized by multiple groups as having the nationwide technical details on proper use of stringless slipform paving equipment and associated technology with the equipment.. Additionally, the ACPA is the only group, consultant or association that has the needed specialized technical information. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the total estimated value is not to exceed $130,000; the anticipated award date is May 11, 2012
