Description

Synopsis: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A. Description: The Department Of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 2 intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery Services Contract to a to a qualified firm with the capability and capacity to provide regulated waste removal services in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations for VISN 2 network hospitals and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) #1-15 in Paragraph (B) listed below. Performance of the required services will begin June 1, 2012 or as soon as possible after award through September 30, 2012. Contract performance will be for the base requirements and four (4) one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 562112 and the Small Business Standard is $12.5 million. Bids are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued on or about April 30, 2012. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, this procurement is set aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) Parts 12 and 15 utilizing lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) to responsible and responsive Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business(es) responding to this solicitation. Quotes must be received by Monday, May 7, 2012 by 2:00 PM (EST). NOTE: If claiming SDVOSB, firm must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry at www.vetbiz.gov.
