- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Government Scientific Source Inc., 12351 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, Virginia 20191 for the purchase of (1) - One Year Extended Warranty for a 3500XL Gen Analyzer and (2) - One Year additional onsite Service Warranties for a Molecular Imager PharosFX. This Special Notice serves as a follow on to Solicitation Number W912HZ-12-R-0012 (issued 19 March 2012) that the Government intends to include, in the resultant contract, an extended warranty option through the chosen vendor Government Scientific Source Inc. They will be supplying the equipment and will allow the option to purchase extended warranties at the time of award. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This will be a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures per FAR 13. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist by 5:00 PM CST, Thursday, May 03 2012.
