**Please note the correction of NAICS code for this Sources Sought Notice** Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "MEDICAL SCOPES". The vendor will be responsible for but not limited to; Service and Maintenance Contract of Pentax Endoscopes and light sources The PENTAX SCOPES with the following Serial Numbers will be covered: 1.EC-3890LI s/n A110116 2.EC-3890LI s/n A110128 3.EC-3890LI s/n A111790 4.EC-3890LI s/n A111791 5.EC-3890LI s/n A111875 6.ED-3470TK s/n A110648 7.EG-2990I s/n A110232 8.EG-2990I s/n aA112261 9.EG-2990I s/n A112604 10.EG-3490K s/n A110021 11.EG-3670URK s/n G110068 12.EG-3870UTK s/n A110098 13.EG-3430 S/N A01063 14.EG-2731 S/N A131437 15.EC-3430L S/N A0114 16.EC-3831L S/N E01114 17.EC-3831L S/N E131529 18.VSB-3430 S/N A01024 19.ED-3410 S/N A01368 The Pentax light sources with the following Serial Numbers will be covered: 1.EPK-I s/n UB010501 2.EPK-I s/n UD011290 3.EPK-I s/n UE011345 Specifications of Work: Repair Services will be provided, at the request of the VA, to diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions on a routine basis. All repairs shall be performed by a manufacturer trained technician. Contractor will complete all work according to Pentax Engineering specifications for PM, repairs, calibrations and modifications. Repair swill be performed using only original manufacturer's (Pentax) parts. All necessary replacement parts and associated labor or rental fees on the aforementioned equipment repaired during the term will be included. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email) and must be received not later than May 4th, 2012 at 10:00AM. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification//socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (see internet site: http://www.ccr.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email ) and received not later than May 4th, 2012 at 10:00AM.. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
