- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS), Grand Canyon National Park (GCNP) intends to procure solid waste collection services within the park. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for an initial year with four one-year options, awarded as a small business set aside. See North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 562111. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to receive and transport solid waste materials from the GCNP South Rim transfer station to an approved landfill. Historically, GCNP has disposed of between 2,000 to 2,500 tons per year. A solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov on or about 5-14-12. The solicitation will close on or about 6-7-12. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be provided. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor this website to download applicable documents and check for amendments. Award is anticipated on or about 8-15-12. Performance will be at GCNP. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with NPS are requested to register at the National Business Center (NBC) at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. To receive any contract award, contractors must register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ and complete electronic annual representations and certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by the agency. Responses must include all information requested in the solicitation. All responses must be submitted in writing to the Arizona Major Acquisition Buying Office (AZ MABO), 1824 S. Thompson St. #200, Flagstaff AZ 86001-2693 or by email to bryan_gregory@nps.gov.
