- The Mission and Contracting Office (MICC) Fort Belvoir intends to issue a solicitation for a HVAC project with an expected period of performance of 120 days from the Notice to Proceed. The scope of the requirement is to renovate an existing HVAC system using design-build method. The primary purposes of the renovation are to eliminate mold growth and to upgrade the mechanical room and the fire alarm panel. The contractor or its' subcontractor shall have a minimum of five years experience in building renovation and HVAC projects. The place of performance will be at Fort Belvoir, VA. The solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 4 May 2012 and will be set-aside for Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB). The NAICS code is 238222, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors and the size standard is $14,000,000. The award will be firm-fixed price and the magnitude for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Additional information including site visits, proposal submission dates, and the statement of work will be made available in the solicitation.
