- Revised Geologic Spec 202 - Hollow Stem Auger SF30-Amendment No. 0001 The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service is seeking to solicit quotes for drilling services to be provided to support a geotechnical investigation on two structures located in Broome County, New York. These structures are flood water retarding structures that were built over 40 years ago. The qualified contractor shall be capable of providing all equipment, materials and labor necessary to perform the required drilling services. Drilling services will include Standard penetration testing, auger and core drilling, water level measurements, grouting test holes and soil sampling. Rock coring may be required on the structures. Holes will vary in depth from an estimated 14 feet up to 60 feet. Holes may be required at various locations on the dams, up and down stream, valley sides, and auxiliary spillway. The solicitation package (RFQ) will be issued on or before April 13, 2012. A site showing will be held on Wednesday April 25, 2012. Specific information will be included in the solicitation package. A firm fixed price service contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Performance time: 24 working days
