- This SOURCES SOUGHT notice is for informational and planning purposes only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. This notice is NOT a request that will be considered for contract award. This is a sources sought notice to identify companies with the capacity, experience, and interest in competing for a Medical Waste Disposal contract at approximately 13 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Health Service Corps Medical Treatment Facilities within the contiguous United States. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the storage, pickup, transportation, and disposal of packaged medical waste generated from the Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF). Current geographic locations of MTFs are throughout the United States; therefore, the Contractor must be capable of administering these services within any of these locations. The Contractor shall perform these services in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, and regulations. The Contractor shall be a state registered/permitted medical waste transporter. The method of disposal shall be any approved method (i.e., incineration, autoclave/pulverize, hyper chlorate/pulverize, etc.) recognized by the state, in which the medical waste is treated and disposed. The Contractor shall provide the Contracting Officer with copies of disposal permits from all treatment facilities, transporter licenses, and list of landfills where "treated waste" is subsequently transported. These documents shall be provided within 30 days after beginning services, or whenever renewed during the contract period. The work will be accomplished under a combination Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. The contract term will be a base period with a potential of four one-year option periods. The estimated value is of an unknown value at this time.
