Description

The Defense Logistics Agency, DLR Procurement Operations, Warner Robins will acquire replenishment spare parts applicable to the F-100 Aircraft Engine using other than full and open competition procedures. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated. Items/quantities are as follows: NSN 2840-01-582-4944NZ, P/N 4089038, Turbine Blade Retainer, Quantity 1-14 Each Need Date: 01 Sep 2012 Delivery of Comprehensive Engine Management System reports will be required. These parts have been designated a high-reliability parts under a formal reliability program. Probability of failure would be unacceptable from the standpoint of safety of personnel and/or equipment. The cognizant engineering activity has determined that data to define and control reliability limits cannot be obtained nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications for this purpose. Solicitation will be sole source to United Technologies Corporation, Military Engines, 400 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108-0968 (CAGE 52661 or 77445) pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1). Detail drawings are not available from the procuring activity.
