Description

This is an announcement from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) prior to the issuance of a solicitation. Any inquiries about this solicitation must be in writing and sent to the Contract Specialist email address: Bette.McDole @va.gov. The MEDVAMC hereby announces its intention to solicit a fixed price with Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) contract with a qualified and responsible contractor who shall provide full Nursing Home Services with a Secure Unit. These patients require a special type of care with trained caregivers, in a secure housing atmosphere. Location being considered for this procurement is in Houston,Texas- Harris County within a 5-10 miles radius of ZC 77008 the North Loop, West area. Qualified and responsible contractor will be required to provide evidences of current Facility License by the State of Texas. Also, facility must have the most recent survey by the State of Texas, with no deficiencies. The Facility shall be HIPPA Compliant. The contract resulted from this solicitation will be in effect from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. This solicitation is assigned number VA256-12-R-0847. The NAICS code is 623110. This solicitation will be posted and available for download on or about May 17, 2012 from http://fedbizopps.gov/. Faxed offers are not acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by the agency. All bidders interested in this solicitation are responsible for monitoring http://fedbizopps.gov/ for amendment(s) to this solicitation, if any, and making sure amendments are acknowledged in accordance with the instructions provided in the solicitation and in amendments themselves. As of October 1, 2003, all Contractors, both large and small, are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award.
