- Seeking contractor to perform the following work. ANDOVER ZONE STEAM CONTROLS Project 659-12-3-6049-1121 Contractor MUST visit the site to review the existing and proposed work prior to submitting any proposals for the proposed work. Any proposals MUST include ALL work to provide a complete and finished product to include (if appropriate but not limited to) all electrical disconnections and reconnections, all cover plates, finish trim, certifications, training, etc. When work is completed with this project, it is expected the Government will be able to take full benefit of the finished product without additional work required. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Bldg. 3 - Andover Zone Stream Controls: Andover I2-920 Controller with Touch Screen display Touch screen display to remote monitor and adjust set points and valves; 12 New Zone Temperature Sensors; Installation and Wiring from New Temp Sensors on Floors 1,2,3, and 4 to new controller located in existing zone steam panel; Wiring of (3).new relays to existing steam Air Solenoid valves; Programming of Controller to look at the new zone temp sensors and base it on an average zone temp and control the existing steam valve solenoids; Full Checkout and commissioning of system controls. Bldg. 2 - Andover Zone Steam Controls Andover I2-920 Controller with Touch-Screen display Touch screen display to remote monitor and adjust set points and valves remotely; 24 New Zone Temperature Sensors; Installation and Wiring from New Temperature Sensors on Floors 1,2,3,4,and 5 to new controller located in existing zone steam control panel; Wiring of (6).new relays to existing steam Air Solenoid valves; Programming of Controller to look at the new zone temp sensors and base it on an average zone temp and control the existing steam valve solenoids; Full Checkout and commissioning of system controls. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: W. G. Hefner Medical Center; 1601 Brenner Ave.; Salisbury, NC 28144 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Within 30 days after award of contract. ELECTRONIC SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS: There are no drawings or specifications required. SPECIFICATIONS FOR GUARANTEE PERIOD SERVICES: There are no guarantee period services on this project CONTRACTOR TRADE: A professional mechanical contractor will bid as prime contractor. SECURITY: The C&A requirements do not apply. This acquisition does not require services that involve connection of one or more contractor-owned IT devices (such as a laptop computer or remote connection from a contractor system) to a VA internal trusted (i.e., non-public) network. A Security Accreditation Package is not required. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. This is not a request for a competitive quotation. No solicitation document is available, and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit their company name and information for consideration to: dori.dabbs2@va.gov. Responses received on or before 10:00 AM EST, Thursday May 10, 2012 will be considered.
