Description

oThe Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at Mt. Home, TN has a requirement for a design build to renovate CLC Cultural Changes III Project 621-12-158. This Design-Build project will renovate approximately 8,000 square feet of existing space on the first floor of Building 162 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. The renovation will involve demolition of the existing first floor nursing station, painting and replacing floor material, building of six single nurse stations throughout the corridors, replacing the sinks, mirrors and vanity lights in the resident rooms, replacing the toilets to meet ADA requirements, painting the resident rooms and corridor, converting an administrative office on the first floor into a reception center for the CLC, renovating two existing rooms on the first floor into a common space for residents and guest reception, replacing all floor VCT tile and ceiling tile on the first main corridors, replacing all corridor lighting with energy efficient light sets T5. The Construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSNIESS (SDVOSB) CONTRACTORS. SDBOSB contractors must be verified and viewable in VETBIZ (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) prior to submission of bid (or proposal) and prior to award of contract. Construction by special trade contractors, at least 25% of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel will be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other eligible service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. (Will be 15% if it is general construction). Contractors must register a www.ccr.gov; https://orca.bpn.gov; and https://vets100.dol.gov to be eligible for award. All registrations must be up-to-date and correct. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 236220 with the small business size standard of $33.5 million. On-Line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) must reflect a small business size certification for the NAICS code noted herein. Solicitation is to be posted to FEDBIZOPPS website (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or around May 20, 2012 with offers due on or around June 18, 2012. Paper solicitation will not be issued. Potential Offerors must obtain solicitation, specifications, drawings, and amendments (if issued) form this website. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to the time for bid opening or with their (or proposal if applicable).
