- Description
- The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, materials, transportation, facilities, incidentals, and expertise necessary to performance the cultural resource surveys, inventories, and evaluations on the Kisatchie National Forest. Work consists of professional archaeological services for inventories of cultural resources in support of the management of Forest resources. Tasks include, but are not limited to, archaeological survey, site mapping, site evaluation, artifact analysis, collections management, cultural resource recording, prehistoric and historic synthesis, cultural resource management plans, report preparation, documents written for the lay audience, global positioning system (GPS) data gathering, geographical information systems (GIS) mapping, digital image processing, scanning, digitizing, locating and marking archaeological sites located on national forest lands. This is a request for proposals which will result in award of a firm-fixed-price, performance-based, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for a basic period of performance of September 1, 2012, through August 31, 2013, plus four one-year option periods. Submission of an offer for the basic contract period constitutes an offer to perform in the option period(s), if exercised. The government anticipates making award to one offeror as a result of the solicitation. This project is set-aside 100% for small business. Award will be made based on the best value to the government and can be made on initial offers. The solicitation and related documents will be available for download at https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about May 22, 2012. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed out. Interested vendors should register to receive notifications through this site.
