- Statement of Work for the Wire Distribution Services requirement The United States Department of Labor (DOL), in support of the Office of Public Affairs (OPA), is conducting market research for an upcoming procurement requirement entitled "Wire Distribution Services". This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The purpose of this RFI is to acquire market information to assist OPA at the Department in determining which socio-economic categories have the capabilities to provide these services. This determination may lead the Department to issue any potential Solicitation under a set-aside in accordance with FAR Part 19. This announcement serves as a pre-solicitation notice only and not a solicitation. For this RFI, the Government is interested in assessing the availability and feasibility of potential new service providers, which are both interested in doing business and meet the Department's requirements for the wire distribution service, in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. This acquisition is being solicited utilizing FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, pursuant to FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract resulting from the solicitation. Proposals are not being solicited or accepted at this time. All interested vendors should follow the instructions described below: Prospective offerors must be registered in the CCR database prior to award of contract. Prospective contractors may register electronically via website: www.ccr.gov. The due date and time for submission of offers will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about June 08, 2012. Offerors shall be responsible for monitoring the website for amendments to the solicitation until it closes. The RFP must be retrieved and downloaded from FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the RFP will be issued. All amendments will be posted and must be retrieved from this website. No solicitation mailing list will be compiled. Facsimile and E-mail submission will not be accepted. Offers must be hand-delivered or mailed to reach the Office of Procurement Services, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Room S4307, Washington, DC, 20210 no later than the date and time specified in the solicitation.
