- Request for Information: F-16 Embedded Training Amendment 0001 Change Technology Readiness Level of: From: 6 or better To: 7 or better Change project initiation: From: within 6 months To: within 6-9 months The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request for information or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. The information provided is considered market research and may be utilized by the AF in developing its acquisition strategy, Statement of Work, and Performance Specifications. Any proprietary information that is submitted may be used as a general concept, but specific information will be safeguarded as proprietary, if so marked. In an effort to dramatically increase the complexity and fidelity of on-aircraft training, while minimizing aircraft flying hours and range support, the Air Force is seeking information on available embedded training solutions that are capable of integrating with the F-16C aircraft. This technology should be mature and proven with a Technology Readiness Level of 7 or better. Any identified system/product must possess the ability to represent both live and virtual/constructive targets to a pilot through existing aircraft displays during a training or mission preparation scenario. The system should be capable of achieving an interface with existing F-16C aircraft systems within 6-9 months of project initiation. Capable offerors please respond and include the following information; not to exceed 10 pages: 1) Company name and contact information to include email and phone number. 2) Description of company to include areas of expertise, products, and ongoing relevant projects (not to exceed one page). 3) Complete product description to include existing and planned capabilities, notional interfaces, and confirmation of technical maturity. 4) Identify how system can support the integration of live and virtual/constructive targets in both radar search and track modes. 5) Identify how system can be updated and populated with virtual constructs and scenario information. Include information about any existing pre-populated databases that can support the identified system with a high fidelity threat database.
