Description
Notice of Intent to award a sole source extension modification. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.217-8 and Part 6, Subpart 6.302-1 (only one source), the Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Riley, KS intends to contract with Torres Global Services, 842 Woodland, Minneapolis, KS 67467, on a sole source basis for Combatives Training at Fort Riley, KS. This will be for six (6) one-month options (5 Aug 2012 through 28 Feb 2013). Pricing for this option period was not evaluated during the solicitation. Current 3rd option period will be utilized during the six (6) one-month options. Scope of Work:The project consists of furnishing all management, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to perform Combatives Training at Fort Riley, Kansas in support of various military units undergoing pre-deployment training. It is expected that all aspects of the training will exist in a dynamic, evolutionary, and adaptive environment. Contractor's continuous improvement of (or additions to) the processes, contents, and tasks is expected, so as to increase the overall effectiveness of the project. The performance goal is effective, efficient, fast reacting, and flexible training that meets the Government's needs as those needs develop over the life of this basic contract. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments needs no later than the 15th day after this notice is posted. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to MICC Fort Riley, attn: Kelly Wright/Cheryl Wallace; 1792 12th Street; Fort Riley, KS 66442. This synopsis is not considered a request for bid/quote/proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests for technical information will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government.
