- Description
- This is a modification to the combined synopsis/solicitation entitled Uncooled Microbolometer Camera Cores which was posted on May 1, 2012. The purpose of this amendment is to replace item three (3) under Electrical, Electronic Interfaces from 14-bit digital pixel output via CameraLink MDR connector to 14-bit digital pixel output via CameraLink connector. The due date for responses is extended from May 16, 2012 to May 23, 2012. With the aforementioned change, the notice is hereby revised to read as follows: NASA/ARC has a requirement for Uncooled Microbolometer (UM) Camera Cores. These camera cores will be used to conduct laboratory and field-tests involving thermal and radiometric imaging at infrared (IR) wavelengths. These applications require a miniature, ruggedized camera core for compact integration with interfacing facility and test-specific equipment. The contractor shall provide UM Camera Cores that meet or exceed the requirements described below: Specifications: Detector Configuration and Performance 1. Focal plane array (FPA) type: uncooled Vanadium-Oxide microbolometer 2. FPA size: 640 X 512 pixels 3. Pixel pitch: 17 microns 4. Spectral response: 7.5 to 13.5 microns 5. Full frame rate: 30 Hz 6. Time to image: < 3.5 msec 7. Sensitivity: <50 milliKelvin Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference at f/1 Physical Features 1. Integrated camera core and on-board electronics enclosed within a ruggedized housing 2. Maximum camera core dimensions (without lens): 2 in X 2 in X 2 in 3. Mechanical mounting: threaded holes located externally on camera housing Electrical, Electronic Interfaces 1. Input power: 4-6 VDC 2. Power dissipation: 1 W steady-state 3. 14-bit digital pixel output via CameraLink connector 4. Camera power and communication via mini-USB connector 5. NTSC 30 Hz analog video output via MCX mini-coaxial connector Lens Configurations 1. 90 X 69 field-of-view (FOV) lens, manual focus 2. 10.4 X 8.3 FOV lens, manual focus 3. 6.2 X 5 FOV lens, manual focus Remote Control and Operation 1. Internal shutter opening, closing 2. Flat-field (non-uniformity) correction via internal shutter or external source 3. FPA temperature monitoring 4. Camera reset to factory default settings 5. Graphical user interface (GUI) based camera control software (Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7 operating system compatible) Environmental Performance 1. Operating temperature: -40C to +45C 2. Storage temperature: -55C to +105C 3. Relative humidity: 5% to 95% (non-condensing atmosphere) 4. Maximum operating altitude: 40,000 ft 5. Vibration: 4g per axis, 8 hour duration per axis 6. Shock: 200g pulse, 11 msec sawtooth waveform Documentation: The Contractor shall furnish all required documentation necessary to power, install, configure, operate, and maintain the UM Camera Cores. Warranty: All hardware and software shall be warranted in accordance with standard commercial practices, and shall cover all parts and labor. A 365-day warranty period shall begin after date of UM Camera Core delivery to NASA. Delivery: All deliverables shall be shipped to NASA no later than 5 weeks following contract award. NASA/ARC intends to purchase the items from: FLIR SYSTEMS, INC. 27700 SW PARKWAY AVE WILSONVILLE, OR 97070-8213 This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
