- The Naval Surface Warfare Center “ Carderock Division (Philadelphia) intends to procure on a sole source basis from John Crane, Inc. (Morton Grove, IL) the manufacture and delivery of a quantity of four (4) Mk21 Air Turbine Pump (ATP) mechanical seal assemblies. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336611. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 U.S.C. §2304 (c) (1). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 31 May 2012 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract among responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Written requests can be submitted to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Philadelphia Office, 5001 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19112-1403, Attn: Andrews Cumings, Code 4310. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received. The solicitation will be released on or about 31 May 2012 and will close thirty (30) days thereafter.
