Description
ADMENDMENT 1 THE FOLLOWING WAS DISCUSSED AT PRE-BID MEETING ON 05/09/2012: Scope of Work reviewed including: 1. HVAC - 2 ton units. Florida heat pumps, chillers (including valves and hoses), install bleed lines, software upgrades. 3A and 2 have bad compressor contacts, 3B & 6 have evaporator blower motor issues. 2. Exterior door hardware - to include 5 double doors, 2 single doors. Removal and replace hardware, including threshold and sweeps, panic bars, weather stripping, recessed pins for inactive doors, add locks to be keyed to existing key system (contractor to provide cylinders), remove lock rod mechanisms. Hinges do not need to be replaced. 3. Interior hallway door - to be installed on "office" side of elevator. Will need to move or install 2nd smoke alarm. Place with consideration of electrical closet access. 4. Tank-less "instant" hot water heaters. It was decided to install a gas 10-gallon/minute heater in the attic and utilize plumbing currently in place for delivery of water, and also venting of system. 5. Installation of water hose spigots - NW and SE corners of building. On NW side there is a sink on interior of building for water access. On SE corner there is a sink about 20' from the corner, inside the double doors - can install wall penetration at that wall, can surface mount piping for spigot placement. Specific placement of spigot to be discussed at time of installation. 6. Outside lighting. Looking for suggestions for a low profile fixture to eliminate whistling noise. Important that light be directed for parking lot illumination. Mentioned in discussion: short bullhorn w/ slip fitter, solar powered dark sky lights? 7. Wooden floor finishing and polishing - ballroom and hallway past elevator to threshold to office. All partitions and furniture to be removed for floor work. Drum sanding reduces dust. Shut off HVAC, protect intakes (with plastic?). HVAC. Ballroom has 3 units that provide air. Could this job be done over a weekend or after hours? Would take perhaps 3-4 days. Floorboard squeaks will be addressed on a separate line item and on a squeak by squeak basis. Floor needs to have 2 layers of polyurethane PLUS a sealer (sealer is not in specs). END OF ADMENDMENT
