Description
Washington Headquarters Service intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to contract to the Society of American Indian Government employees (SAIGE), P.O. Box 7715, Washington, DC 20044. The Department of Defense (DoD) is energetically pursuing diversity through a magnitude of avenues to address barriers and issues impacting the full participation. The Office of Diversity Management and Equal Opportunity, (ODMEO) requests the support of the Society of American Indian Government employees (SAIGE), to contribute to increasing diversity in the Department of Defense (DoD) workplace through outreach and programs. SAIGE will provide DoD access to education events through the SAIGE annual National Training Program. The program is an outreach event focused on the recruitment, hiring, retention, development, and advancement of American Indians and Alaska Natives in the government workforce and to assist Federal agencies in fulfilling the Federal Indian Trust Responsibility. The program has two specific sessions particularly designed to meet DoD Diversity and Inclusion goals where DoD will have full access: o A youth program focused on educating American Indian and Alaska Native students on the career opportunities within the federal government. o A veteran program designed specifically to support the education of military veterans on federal benefits and employment systems. SAIGE will provide the following deliverable(s): • One keynote speaking opportunity • Participation for DoD leadership in up to two SES roundtable sessions • Access to students (K-12) and influencers during the youth program sessions • DoD mention in editorial coverage of SAIGE events • One exhibit/booth space for interviews, information about DoD career opportunities, and to distribute materials • Advertising in SAIGE marketing material distributed at events • Logo prominently displayed at events • DoD banner on SAIGE website with direct link to DoD career opportunities • Distribution of DoD career opportunities by SAIGE via their electronic listserv distribution system • Showcase of DoD as a feature supporter of SAIGE on the SAIGE website • Three full attendee passes for federal government employees This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 11:00 pm EST, May 25, 2012. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
