Description
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification to produce the items listed below. This does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished, nor it is a request for a proposal. Incumbent contractor information will not be provided. This effort will require multiple disciplines to build and field the A-10 Boresight tool while generating source data. The requirement will be a build to print effort of the A-10C Laser Alignment Tool (LAT) and will require the contractor to mill the laser housing from a solid block of material built to the attached specifications. The contractor will also be required to procure and assemble laser components inside the milled laser housing and develop procedures to properly install and align the laser systems with a Government furnished Hydraulic Arbor. The contractor must then ensure that the procedures for alignment and the alignment of the laser system meet the attached specifications. In addition to the LAT, the contractor will also conduct a build to print effort to deliver gun sight verification boards. This board will be built to the same design as the attached drawings but will be built from a different, lightweight material which must meet the attached specifications. Request contractor submittals be limited to no more than 10 pages total.
