The purpose of this Request for Offers is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all work to: remove and replace the carpeting in the 2nd floor OSW at the Seattle ARTCC in Auburn, Washington as listed in the specifications, drawings, contract clauses, and wage rates. Magnitude of construction is NTE $100,000. Notification of Competition Limited to Eligible 8(a) SEDB Concerns See Contract clause: 3.6.1-8. The NAICS Code for this project is 238330. The Small Business Administration Size Standard for NAICS Code is $14.0 million. The total contract duration for completion of all work shall be 21 calendar days. This project will replace all the carpeting on the 2nd floor of the OSW building as noted on the contract drawing. There is existing office equipment (i.e copier) and office furniture as well as office panel partitions and file cabinets located throughout the project. It is the carpet installer's responsibility to move or lift all existing obstacles in order to install the carpeting. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing carpeting properly off site. The existing carpeting is glued to the sub flooring. The Contractor shall prepare the existing sub flooring to be smooth and free of debris before new carpeting is installed. The Contractor shall be responsible for repairing all damage to walls, furniture, and office equipment incurred during the carpet replacement. The area of work shall remain clean and clear of all hazards. Being that there is existing office equipment and office furniture as well as office panel partitions located throughout the project, the Bidding Contractor's are highly encouraged to make a site visit in order to submit their most accurate bid and not be confronted by any "surprises" when the workers arrive to perform the work. This project will need a phasing plan. The phasing shall be discussed during the preconstruction meeting. The Contractor shall be responsible for repairing all damage incurred during demolition/construction. The area of work shall remain clean and clear of all hazards. Site Visit: The site visit is OPTIONAL, however the FAA urges and expects offerors to inspect the site where the work will be performed a. The FAA facility escort has been instructed not to answer any questions about the project during the site visit, please do not ask them any. All questions from the site visit must be submitted in writing according to the RFO's instructions in Section B004 Solicitation Questions b.
