This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that "equal" products must meet are specified in the solicitation. (b) To be considered for award, offers of "equal" products, including "equal" products of the brand name manufacturer, must- (1) Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation; (2) Clearly identify the item by- (i) Brand name, if any; and (ii) Make or model number; (3) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; and (4) Clearly describe any modifications the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. (End of provision) Salient Characteristics Brand Name or Equal Item: Magnus Operating Room Table System Any "Or Equal" products being offered must have the following salient characteristics: "Device table top as basic unit with twofold sectioning - individual modular setup. Modularly complemented by motor-powered joint module, upper back segment and head section (to be individually selected) "Device pads are equipped with integrated carrier plates. No tools are required for removal, thereby enhancing accessibility as well as cleansing of the elements situated below. Pads and carrier plates can be removed without tools being required. "Device center segment features a viscoelastic foam core for best pressure distribution (decubitus prevention) and reduction of the shearing forces. Pad thickness: ________80_________ mm. Max. surface pressure: _______39.20_____ mm/HG (to be evidenced by means of an inspection certificate). "Device fixation of the centre segment without fleece and Velcro straps for better hygiene and prevention of X-ray absorption.
