Description
The Army Contracting Command New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of The Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) is conducting a Market Survey seeking to identify potential sources with the capability to design, fabricate and install a flexible cooling oven for melt cast loading of small/medium caliber munitions, grenades, and demolition, in Building 810, at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The flexible cooling ovens shall: 1. The system shall consist of three (3) independent ovens. 2. The ovens shall be installed in an area 15 x 810 (Room 14). 3. The interior dimensions of each oven shall be a nominal 36L x 36D x 48H. 4. Oven heat panels shall be capable of reaching a temperature of 270 F. Respondents shall provide information that shows they have the capability to provide engineering sketches for review and approval to the Government 30 calendar days after contract award, and provide engineering drawings, fabricate, and install the flexible cooling ovens 120 calendar days after design approval. The contractor shall perform complete installation, installation support of, disassembly and assembly of, and utility connects and disconnects of the Flexible Cooling Oven. The contractor must be able to provide support with the associated Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic components and other systems as it pertains to the implementation of the Flexible Cooling Oven System, in the Pilot Loading Facility. The source must have the capability to provide all labor, manpower, and equipment necessary to perform the requirements. Capable sources must have knowledge of Army regulations on Explosive Operations and Explosive Equipment. This sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of the market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Any information provided will not be returned. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a separate solicitation notice will be published.
