- The Navy Office of Information is seeking industry feedback regarding methods to facilitate the enhancement of public understanding of the Navy, its role in the national defense, its importance in peacetime commerce, and the parts played by the men and women of the Navy in operating the ships of the Fleet and the shore support establishment. Information is especially desired regarding the branding of the Naval Service as a national resource. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not, at this time, seeking proposals. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the expense of the interested party. Restrict all responses to non-proprietary information. Be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Your response to this RFI will be treated as information only and part of market research and will not be shared outside of the Government. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If an RFP is issued, it will be synopsized on the FedBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Responses are requested no later than 21 June 2012 at 4:30 PM EST. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail only to Joe Haviland (joseph.haviland1@navy.mil).
