- This announcement constitutes an official Request For Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). This RFI announcement is for information and planning purposes only and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The intent is to identify market interest for engineering and technical services in support of integration/installation issues, operational identified issues, and proposed hardware/software improvements for SSI-GB-GRAM. Engineering and technical services will provide SSI-GB-GRAM production item support for the host platform integration and/or installation issues, operationally-identified issues, and impact assessments, studies or analysis of proposed HW/SW changes to the SSI-GB-GRAM relative to its use as the host for Modernized GPS User Equipment (MGUE). Technical services to be provided may include but not be limited to the following tasks: host platform integration or installation issues, Impact Assessments, studies or analysis for proposed card level or system level change(s) relative to the Modernized GPS User Equipment (MGUE) program that uses the current production as a basis for initial M-code User Equipment designs, sub constellation/WAGE enhancements, software reprogramming enhancements, SAASM yield process improvement changes, operational capability enhancements e.g. Pseudo-range, Delta-range and Carrier Phase data outputs and incorporating future enhancements that mimic DAGR capabilities. The Government does not have data rights for the GB-GRAM source code. Responder must be able to access source code for the GB-GRAM. Responder must be able to reference MIL-PRF-GB-GRAM -300, -310, -320, and -370. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or sensitive information contained in their response. Interested parties shall have a SECRET facility clearance with appropriate storage capabilities to secure SECRET materials. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by an industry response to this RFI. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the Federal Business Opportunities website located at http://www.fbo.gov/. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned and will become property of the Government. Responses to this RFI must be unclassified and should not exceed 20 pages in length. *Verbiage Updated 24 May 2012
