Description
The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command- New Jersey, Joint Armaments Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Army Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Small Caliber Armaments Division is conducting research to locate companies interested in entering into a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the U.S. Government. Interested sources should be capable of providing complete inspection services with full documentation as required in a Government furnished technical data package (TDP). All inspection tools shall be maintained, and in calibration with documentation traceable back to National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST). A quality inspection report shall be required on an order by order basis. The contractor shall provide electrical, electronics, mechanical and electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly services for build-to-print end-items (per Government produced TDPs). End-items or assemblies will include, but not be limited to, the following: a. Printed circuit board assemblies (through hole and surface mount, including multilayer); b. Electrical control cabinet assembly and testing; c. Electrical panel fabrication (including punching, painting, screening); d. Sheet metal enclosures; e. Custom cable and wire harness assemblies (commercial and military grade); The contractor shall provide material certifications for each order. Applicable Documents: a. M27488NSpecification, electrical connector, plug end seal. b. SAE AS83519 Heat shrinkable shield termination. c. MIL-DTL-38999General specification for circular connectors. d. AMS-DTL-23053Heat shrinkable insulation sleeving. e. A-A-59569A Commercial description for wire braid. f. NEMA-WC27500Standard for industrial and aerospace electrical cable. g. MIL-STD-13-DODStandard practice for identification marking of US property. f. ASME-Y14.100Engineering drawing and related documentation related processes. The contractor shall deliver within 30 days of receipt of order and be credit card payment acceptable. Companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing brochures and any information pertaining to their ability to provide the above requested services. All information is to be submitted via email at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity, large or small and a copy of the most recent ORCA certifications and representations. Please provide the name of the company, address, POC, phone/fax number and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions via email only. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualifications information no LATER than 7 June 2012. This is a Market Survey Announcement and submission of information will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ). In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice.
