- NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SMALL BUSINESS WITH A BRAND-SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), proposes to acquire by Small Business Set-Aside Competition, Liferay Web Portal Enterprise Software Licenses and Maintenance Support. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), William J. Hughes Technical Center, intends to award a purchase order to a Liferay Authorized Platinum Reseller/Service Provider. This procurement is considered to be a Small Business Set-Aside acquisition brand source based on, specific functional and performance characteristics, interfaces, operability, unique qualifications, and continuity of services. NASE Portal requirements dictate the use of Liferay Web Portal Enterprise. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected brand source via Small Business Set-Aside Competitive procedures. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal.
