Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS), 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48105 anticipates soliciting offers and awarding a contract for the project known as 'Replace Chiller and Cooling Tower'. The VAAAHS anticipates entering into a firm fixed price contract with a single contractor providing the best value to the Government. NAICS Code is 561210, size standard is $35.5 Million. This procurement is 100% Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to perform all work under this project which consists of: Replace the existing 800 ton outdoor water cooled chiller system and matching cooling tower with a 1,000 ton outdoor water cooled chiller system with a new matching water tower feeding into a common centralized control loop for the building. In addition the contractor shall replace the condenser water supply and return pumps and pump motors plus the chilled water supply and return pumps and motors. Chilled water and condenser water piping shall also be replaced as required to accommodate the new increased capacity of the system. The period of performance is 120 calendar days for the entire project. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about 5-31-2012 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available as all documents for proposal purposes will be posted at this website for download. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due in accordance with the solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No phone calls will be accepted.
