- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 811219 (size standard $19 million) that can offer provide equipment repair service as described below: Contractor shall furnish all labor, parts, materials, tools, equipment, travel, and supervision to repair the GE LUNAR Bone Mass Densitometer that is located at the Michael E. DeBakey VAMC, 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030. All work shall be performed by competent, experienced and factory-trained personnel to work on the specific equipment. Contractor shall use only GE Healthcare OEM certified products. Interested companies should submit an electronic statement outlining their company's capability and capacity to provide the equipment, to install, and the delivery time to get the product to Houston, Texas. Also, firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUBZones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.) This Sources sought is for informational purposes and all businesses able to provide this equipment are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to any future solicitation announcements.
