- Description
- The principle features of the work include removal and control of water; removal of existing concrete parapet wall; removal of existing concrete in back wall, shaft lining, and tunnel lining; furnishing and placing cast-in-place concrete to construct new south spillway overlay walls and weir wall, new parapet wall, and to make repairs to existing back wall, shaft lining and tunnel lining; excavate existing dam embankment; constructing two-stage filter of sand filter and gravel drain materials in area of existing dam embankment and north spillway wall; furnishing and installing collector drains in existing back wall; removing existing left drum gate adn abandoned drum gate control piping, control valves, and appurtenant parts for each gate; rehabilitate right drum gate including removing and replacing seals and drains, removing existing coatings containing hazardous materials, repairing and modifying gate, coating interior and exterior of gate and coating inlet side of gate. Guernsey Dam is located approximately 2 miles northwest of Guernsey, Wyoming in Platte County. Award will be made to the offeror submitting a proposal which conforms to the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government considering the non-cost and cost factors being evaluated. The technical factors and subfactors to be evaluated are as follows: (1) Technical Plan for Design and Construction, (2) Company Experience, (3) Key Personnel, (4) Past Performance, (5) Safety, and (6) Socioeconomic Goals. The solicitation will be issued on or around June 18, 2012. The Price and Technical Proposals will be due approximately 30 calendar days from the date the solicitation has been issued. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The estimated price range of this acquisition is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 237990. The procurement is issued under Full and Open Competition.
