- Documentation for Sole Souce Award This notice is being posted in accordance with the requirements set forth at FAR part 5.101 & 5.201 regarding proposed contract actions. DLA Document Services, in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intended to, and has awarded, a sole source (6 months) task order to the current provider, Sprint Solutions, Inc. for continued wireless voice and data service against BPA No. W91RUS-11-A-0005, which was issued at Ft. Huachuca for use for use by certain DoD activities. The sole source determination is based on the need for continuity of wireless service and Sprint is the only vendor capable of renewing the plan currently in place to avoid a break in coverage. DLA Document Services is currently using about 100 phones nationwide with a variety of services. A new requirement will be competed amonst all of the Army BPA holders near the end of the current T.O. period of performance, around September 2012. A memorandum for the contract file, per FAR part 13, documenting the need for a sole source in this instance, to bridge continuity of service until the next procurement can be competed, is attached to this notice.
