Description
NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis with Bruker-AXS of Madison, WI for the procurement of a diffractometer to replace the Bruker ApexII that is currently in operation in the Chemistry Department of the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. The new system must also be capable of integrating with the Cobra coldstream device that is currently in use. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The anticipated contract award start date is 15 August 2012. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1.
